iPhoto iPhone 4 update question

So I have a jail broken iPhone 4 and I want to get new iPhoto app. So because I couldn't update to 5.1 I had to get I file and change something from 5.0 to 5.1 to trick iPhoto. So I did that and it let me download. But iPhoto crashes so I download a iphotofix in cydia and works . But what is bad that every time I go into iPhoto it says "updating iPhoto library " and it's takes foreverrrrr to update. So whenever it finally updates. I'm ok but if I take a picture later then go back in to edit its takes just as long to "update iPhoto library" Can anyone help. Does it takes this long for everyone else? Basically always updates library but takes like a hr to do so and if phone sleeps it pauses.

Im actually having the exact same is issue. It makes it useless too have, and so far can't locate a solution.
