Since there seem to be a lot of new jailbreakers around lately, I thought I'd mention again that setting an Activator action for Safe Mode is a good idea. Use one that relies on hardware?flicking Mute twice, or pressing both Volume buttons at once?in case your screen is unresponsive. You'll probably never use it, but it could be very helpful if you ever run into a jailbreak-related issue.

I just jailbroke yesterday, and I am absolutely loving activator!

I have a few menus set up with my favorite apps

Favorites: accessed by holding the home button anywhere
It has all of my most used apps as well as my other menus.

Photography: Swipe left on status bar
really quick acces to my camera, instagram, and pictures

Jailbreak: In my favorites menu
All of my jailbroken apps

Other gesture/button activatvations:
  • Swipe right on status bar to reveal Music controls
  • hold status bar to launch switcher
  • Slide right on lock screen to open the phone app
  • Swipe left on lock to open music
  • swipe down on lock screen to open weather
  • double tap time and date on lock screen to open up contacts (Weird, but quick and easy.)

I'm still adding new stuff :)

Update: 5 days after posting this, most of the list above has changed lol

I thought that Activator would only use one action.. I set 'from screen top' to show infoshade and that works fine, I am not able to set anymor actions.

I actually haven't used too much of Activator, though I love it.

I have a triple click on the home button to remove all background apps (Remove BG).

Double tap on the status bar pulls up Camera+.

I have a couple of other tweaks in mind after reading this thread, though!

Activator is my number 1 favorite app! Get things done in less steps and with such convenience:
1. Slide in gesture from top right (anywhere): takes me to last use app (must have LastApp installed)
2. Three finger spread (anywhere): opens switcher
3. Three finger pinch (anywhere): brings me to springboard
4. Hold status bar (home screen/springboard): sleeps the device
5. Double tap status bar (home screen): respring
6. Double tap left status bar (home screen): kills all tasks
7. Double tap right status bar (home screen): lock screen

Never need use the Home button and Sleep button anymore!

Brightness Activator Action - I swipe the status bar left or right to change the brightness immediately everywhere I am on my iPhone and iPad. I think this is the quickest way to control the brightness.

Volume Down (-) - press and hold to activate the torch - SpringFlash

Hey, here are my new activator assignments on iOS 7 :D

Anywhere
  • Double tap Statusbar --> Launch CC
(Activatior has some problems with CC, so I also set an activator gesture to launch it)
  • Slide along screen right side (Drag bottom to top) --> Launch Switcher
(I really didn't know about this gesture, I found it last week, it's really awesome)
  • Slide along screen right side (Drag top to bottom) --> Home button
  • Swipe on the right screen edge --> InstaLauncher
  • Hold volume up button --> Launch App: "OmniFocus"
  • Hold volume up button --> Launch App: "Drafts"
  • Tap and hold Statusbar - invoke a activator menu with sharing (write a message, write a mail etc.) and system actions (like respring, reboot, SB search etc.)
  • Swipe down the Statusbar with 2 finger --> Sleep button
(Convenient way to turn device off)
Homescreen
  • Pinch Homescreen --> Sleep button
(Convenient way to turn device off)
Others:
  • Turn Vibration off by unlocking and turn it on by locking the phone.
You don't need vibration while using the phone ;)
Other Activator stuff
You can activate/deactivate and toggle many things at once, so you can create "profiles", e.g. I have a "study" profile where I toggle the following things:
  • Wifi off
  • Data & 3G off
  • Vibration off
  • Autolock off
  • Do Not Disturb on
  • Launch "dict.cc" (dictionary for translations while studying)
And I have other "profiles" which set the phone back after studying (as a example).

Right now I'm only using Activator to swipe across the bottom of the screen to activate the app switcher. That combined with Virtual Home and I never need to press the Home button :)
