Carbon Ovation Dialer is 1/2 size

When using any of the carbon ovation themes the dialer for my phone is just a tiny square in the middle of the screen that is incapable of producing numbers except 1, 2 and * for some reason. I have tried replacing with another custom dialer and it still gets shrunk. Not sure what is going on and would hate to have to get rid of the theme. Anyone experience this?
