cydia help

Alright my friend just jailbroke his iphone 4 on 5.0.1 and he is having a few problems with cydia. First of all when he tries to find things such as SBSettings or anything it cannot be found. I'm not sure if he doesn't have the sources but he also tried to install AndroidLock XT and it had dependencies, and we couldnt seem to get it installed because of that. We are new to jailbreaking and we have no idea what to do here, if anyone could help it would be greatly appriciated.
