Run Untethered Over Tethered?

When the untethered JB is released, will it be able to be run over the current semi-tether jailbreak to obtain a full untethered without restoring to a non-jailbroken state? I ask just because I am tethered on 5.0.0. My concern is that if 5.1 is released and I don't get a clean copy of 5.01 prior to the JB if I will be **** outta luck. Thanks.

use iFaith to save your blobs and create a custom firmware. then you can do anything you want

personally, when the Untethered is released i will restore as new and then jailbreak
