upgrading to iOS5 from 4.2.1 need to preserve bb

hey all... im downloading the new iOS5 right now and i read a tweet from musclenerd saying that Gevey unlock cards wont work with iOS5... the only way to get it to work is if you preserve the baseband (mine is currently 3.10) i dont know how to do that with my current iOS version jailbroken using greenpoison rc 6.1

can someone please help me out? i feel pretty lost!

You'll most likely need to wait a while. Usually happens after the actual JB is released first.

ive been reading up more. musclenerd says iOS5 official release = GM and snowbreeze can jailbreak the GM while preserving the baseband. so im thinking this is the best way... either see if snowbreeze for GM works with the official version or wait for snowbreeze for the official version.

Snowbreeze makes a custom Ipsw package so you would need to download the ios5 and not install it but instead use Snowbreeze to create the custom package and then install the custom iOS 5 so you don't update the baseband
