Considering downgrading...

I have iOS5 beta 7 and my modem is 04.11.08. I have a factory unlocked iPhone 4 and am thinking of jail breaking. First, would you recommend me doing this or not? Second, if I am going to do this, how do I go about it?

I guess I should add why I am considering this. I have no access to MMS and while I love the UI, I would love to be able to theme my phone out a little more. I would like to be untethered so if I can achieve this, please help a brother out!
