So, I upgraded to an iPhone 4 today and the guy unlocked it and jailbroke it for me. The problem is, I installed Winterboard and it locked my phone with the Apple logo showing. I know I can restore it through iTunes but how to I go about unlocking it again? He had Cydia installed...

Or is there another way around this?

Sounds like you have a tethered jailbreak. Basically, this means that every time you need to reboot, you need to hook it to your computer and run the jailbreak program again to boot.

Do you know what version of iOS is on the phone, and what method was used to unlock it? If it is a tethered jb, you'll definitely want to learn how to do this yourself.

It's hard to say without knowing how it was unlocked. The answer is different depending on that, sorry. Best bet is to ask the person who did it for you and explain what's happened.

Are you all ready for this? I found out last night that I bought this phone for 375 only to find out that it's a factory unlocked iPhone 4! Went ahead and installed iOS 5.
