Need internet connection to JB?

I searched and found conflicting ansswers so I decided to post this. I hope it's okay.
I jb'd before, but had to go back. Now I'm jb'ng again but I have a question: Does itunes have to connect to internet to jb? I have the ipsw sn0breeze created on my desktop, I am ready to DFU and go, but the problem is that the work firewall blocks itunes (and most likely any another site that a restore would try to connect with). Do you know if a computer not connected to internet will work from DFU mode to restore? I will turn off wireless and unock my laptop (= no connection) then do DFU and shift restore. Otherwise I have to wait until tonight when I get home.. Thanks!

Pretty sure you'll need it to verify the restore with Apple over the Internet. If you already had the FW loaded you might be able to use redsn0w.

Thanks. I think I'll give it a shot and see what happens. Worst case scenario I'm without a phone for afew hours until I get home. I will post results.

iTunes needs a connection before it'll even recognize the device.
