Tetherme faster than mywi? Uses less power?

Running iPad 1 on 4.3. 3GS on 4.3.3 jailbroken with redsnow. Had used mywi with 3GS on 4.1 to connect to my iPad. Worked ok, but seemed to use a lot of battery On the iPad and wasn't all that fast. When I upgraded to 4.3.3 I decided to try tetherme instead of mywi to connect by Bluetooth rather than wifi on mywi. Works great and seems much faster. Used it for about 5.5 hours and the iPad battery only went down about 22%. Search Didn't find much info on tetherme. Anyone else using it? Anyone else notice any improvements over mywi?
