We have just tested this and can confirm that the current latest version of Redsn0w can jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 (tethered) on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad, and iPod touch 4G/3G.
However the current version of Redsn0w 0.9.6 rc14 is limited to tethered jailbreak only, which means that you will have to boot your iOS device in tethered state on every reboot.

Note: snaps may be old but the method is same, so don't worry about snaps.

Download ios 4.3.3 firmware for iphone, ipod touch and ipad.
Download ios 4.3.2 firmware for iphone, ipod touch and ipad.
Download redsn0w 0.9.6 rc14 fr windows & Mac

NOTE: Those of you who rely on a carrier unlock MUST STAY AWAY from Redsn0w and stock iOS 4.3.3 firmware.
Step 1: Download iOS 4.3.3 and iOS 4.3.2 (required by Redsn0w 0.9.6 for 4.3.3 jailbreak) for your version of iOS device.
Step 2: Update/Restore to iOS 4.3.3 firmware using the IPSW file you just downloaded via iTunes 10.2.2.
Step 3: Start Redsn0w and point it to the official iOS 4.3.2 firmware file (NOT iOS 4.3.3 file).

Step 4: Now select ?Install Cydia? and click ?Next?. Optionally (if available), you can also select any other option you like.

Step 5: Now make sure your device is both OFF and PLUGGED IN to the computer before you click ?Next?.

At this stage you will be presented with a screen where you will be guided on how to enter DFU mode. Quickly hold ?Power? button and then while holding the ?Power? button, you will now have to hold ?Home? button too. Now after few seconds release ?Power? button but keep holding ?Home? button until installation begins.

Step 6: Sit back and enjoy while Redsn0w does the rest for you. Once done, your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch will restart automatically and you will find it jailbroken (tethered) on the latest iOS 4.3.3 firmware.
Step 7: Now from here onwards, whenever you want to do anything related to jailbreak like SSHing into your device, or running Cydia, you must first run your device in the so called ?jailbroken state? on every reboot by using ?Just boot tethered right now? option in Redsn0w.

Not interested... still sitting on 4.2.1 because it's a rock solid release and I don't want to do all of the rework to update the jailbreak.

New to jailbreaking here. Im currently running 4.3.1 and i wanted to upgrade it to 4.3.2 so that i could do the jailbreak but then last night i found out that its now 4.3.3 and i dont want to do tether version. How can i still jailbreak but get the 4.3.2 version software on the iphone without it upgrading to the 4.3.3 and being stuck with the tethered version. Thank you,,.

4.3.2 is still being signed today so you can restore that version for untethered.

Or wait, they have said 4.3.3 should be untethered by this weekend. Same exploit is there.

Either way go get your SHSH with Tinyumbrella!

Have no idea what that article is talking about. Alot different than doing this on a blackberry ill tell you that much. Probably why ive stayed away from jailbreaking. so much to do just to jail break..lol..anyways.

So this is what i want to do. I want to upgrade to the 4.3.2 so that i could jailbreak it. I have Windows 7 and my phone is currently running 4.3.1 and its never been jailbroken. what do i do..:D

Go get the 4.3.2 IPSW file. Then in itunes do a shift key + restore and browse to the file to update the phone.

After that just use redsn0w to jailbreak it.

Backing up SHSH simply ensures you can restore to an older version of ios than apple is currently shipping. 4.3.3 is current but they always keep signing the old one for a couple days.

i get the idea now. but i cant get past the first step of putting 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com on the bottom of the hosts file because it will not open other than with wordpad.

You only need to edit your hosts file if apple isn't signing the firmware you want to restore to. For the moment they are signing 4.3.2 and 4.3.3. Skip that.
