VZ iPhone Winterboard issues

I am apparently having some Winterboard issues. Not all the SMS tones or themes will work. Is there some specific identifier I should be looking for in order to download compatible files?

I tried some other apps, like slant locker, and they are not working as well. Is this because of the new software update? I am just getting really frustrated with this!

Things I have found:

SMS bubbles will not change color
Dock will NOT transparent
Icons will not have labels eliminated
Lock screens seem to default to a basic lock screen
Themes will not incorporate all of the changes, such as icons and nav bar changes

HELP! Also let me know if I am touching on something that has already been answered.
