can i jb/unlock my 3GS?

i have been away for a while......i want to sell my old 3GS, its on 4.1, 05.14.02 baseband. can i jailbreak and unlock it? if so, what software works best with windows? thanks

You can jailbreak the 3Gs on 4.1 with limera1n, greenpois0n or pwnage tool.

i don't want to do anything risky so what do I have to wait for the tethered Jb for 4.2 or what?

It's not about the JB, it's about the unlock. The only way to unlock is very risky and may screw up your GPS. You can still JB, which will be a big plus for resale value.

There is no current way to unlock the iPhone without using the iPad baseband. I have heard that chronic dev team is working on a baseband download exploit. You could wait for that, but it might not happen...
