I'm patient, just curious. I heard rumors that it would be available launch day. But you know what they say about rumors

Wont be long. Early as tomorrow, as late as Friday. The only thing we are really waiting on is for comex to update userlandtool so we can use our JB untethered.

Hopefully sooner than later, but I'll take it whenever they make it available.

There will be a story on TiPb.com within an hour of release. Plus I will post a story in Jailbreak Forum Group and will also update my FAQ afterwards.

GreenPois0n should be updated to support 4.2.1 (tethered or semitethered) within a few days.

    Thats worst case scenario...

When the new Cydia is ready how do we get it? Can we jailbreak with Limera1n and get it?

I'm confused. I thought limera1n never needed updating as it's JB method was good forever. So if I understand I should not JB with the current limera1n and 4.2.1??

No, the exploit will always be there but you will need to use an updated JB utility after each and every firmware update. Please take a look at my FAQ for a detailed explanation.

Don't update to 4.2 until you see something definitive on the front page of TiPb.

well i guess i was so frustrated with 4.1 that i had to see first handed if 4.2 (at the time) was any better, which it is

anyways, i am finally jailbroken. Cydia is working well and so far biteSMS and Notifier are crashing my springboard. life is good

Not doing a thing until everything is in place. I jailbreak mostly for BiteSMS, so without it there's little point. I'm waiting.

Even with 4.2, there's little point. Of course it will be nice to be up to date but a week or two longer is no problem. I'd rather the jb apps work when i jb. And no way i want to lose a jb with a long thanksgiving week coming. My iphone will be called upon to save my sanity...many times :P

That's what is starting to annoy me with the whole jailbreak process. Some tweaks/apps take a loooong time to get updated for the latest firmware. It's almost becomming tiring but yet I love being jailbroken!

yeah it's a love-hate thing that's for sure. i don't really mind the micro-managing as long as i see results
