Are the Devs working a new jailbreak with 4.2 being released in 24-48 hours

Just wondering. I know most of the stuff is Ipad updates and alot is Iphone4 only stuff. But some bugs are fixed in 4.2 and some decent additions.

But I've also heard the current 4.1 jailbreak will work on 4.2 but can't give a testimonial if thats entirely true or now.

went to 4.2 today and jailbroke with redsn0w 0.9.6b2 (iPhone 3G)

Cydia obviously wasn't working properly, yet. waiting for that fix for sure

No. They wont release the update for cydia until 4.2 is released.

Not necessarily, but a lot of people have itunes 10.1 beta anyway.

I got a little news some of you might be interested in. Seems apple is definately releasing carrier updates on November 12th. So common sense tell you they will throw in the updates and the 4.2 at the same time. So now I'm banking on the 12th myself.

i've been using 4.2 GM on my iPad and just installed it on my old iPhone 3G. Working great on both, though I do not use my 3G all that often anymore. I am leaving my iPhone4 on 4.1 jailbroken until the 4.2 jailbreak is out. hard to deal without having BiteSMS and iBlacklist. a 3 second cancelable delay before sending a text has really helped me out, as has hiding some of those unwanted phone calls.
