I have just purchased a second hand 3GS and was told that it was jailbroken.

I have a 3G and wanted to copy all the bits accross, but the seller said it was on O2 originally so I thought great thats what I am on.

Problem is just did a restore and put the new update on and now it says the sim card isn't supported :(

What can I do, bit upset as I thought this would be just a straight forward swap

Thanks

You'll have to hope that the SHSH blobs are stored on Cydia and you can downgrade to whatever version was previously on the device and re-jailbreak and unlock. There's no guarantee they are saved though, and if that's the case you are out of luck until a new jailbreak is released.

You should be able to use Firmware Umbrella ( The Firmware Umbrella ) to pull the SHSH blobs ( if they exist ) from Cydia which will let you determine which firmware you can ( possibly ) downgrade to.

I think the previous software was 3.1

Am I ever going to be able to copy across all my info from my current phone (non jailbroken) to my new one? Thanks
