Ok so I know I could MAYBE find this out by searching through a vast number of threads but this is a pretty confusing topic considering basebands, bootroms, OS versions and models. I'm just looking to first find an answer to if it's currently possible.

iPhone 3GS
Model: MC137LL
iOS(iPhone OS): version 4.0 (8A293)
Carrier: AT&T 7.0
Modem Firmware 05.13.04

So this phone has never been jailbroken or unlocked, it was updated to the GM 4.0 OS and I have access to a virtual MAC w/ OS X in case I need a to work outside of windows. Is it currently possible to jailbreak?

Sorry for taking the easy way out, but I appreciate any help you guys can give.

I believe both. I'm pretty sure u can't jb os4 on the oldbootrom if u were still on 3.1.3 or lower it would be possible but be patient and just check in on the threads when it's released and stable it will be all over the place
