Default The iPhone could not be restored because the firmware was corrupt

    Blackra1n 3.1.2

My iPhone froze a few weeks ago. I was told that if I restored it, iTunes would upgrade to 3.1.3.

I tried the restore, however it came up with the message "The iPhone could not be restored because the firmware was corrupt"

Any ideas what I can do next?

    Best regards

Put ur phone into DFU mode and then restore thru iTunes. If u need to be unlocked, then u will lose that because there is NO unlock avail for baseband 05.12.01. Goodluck

It sounds like the firmware on your computer is corrupt, maybe try redownload the firmware.
