Jailbreak my 3gs

I have a jailbroken 3gs running 3.1.2(7d11) with modem firmwear 05.11.07 Im having a ton of crashing problems.. I want to upgrade to 3.1.3 and re-jailbreak it using Spirit....can that be done based on what I have...thanks everyone...

Yes it can. If you used a tethered jb before just upgrade to 3.1.3 and use spirit and you're good to go. However if you rely on an unlock, DO NOT UPGRADE since there is no unlock for the 5.12.01 yet

what does tethered JB mean?...I JB using blackra1n...

Tethered meant that every time you restarted your iPhone you had to run Blackra1n. Only an issue on the newer 3GS's.

Upgrade to 3.1.3 and jb using Spirit. It's liberating.

One caveat - if you need to unlock as well, don't update as 3.1.3 is not unlockable at this point.
