As the title states, this is probably a n00b question but I'll ask it anyway.

I have a 16gb iPhone 3GS running OS 3.1.3 (7E18) and modem firmware 05.12.01.

I wish to jailbreak, not unlock it, just jailbreak it so I can use themes and other various bits of fun.

I have searched the forums and gotten nothing (I probably wasn't looking for the right terms) and Google leads me to a maze of websites and forums that give what I would call conflicting information.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
