Cannot open page/sever is down

Hi,

I've jailbroken my iphone 3gs couple of months ago and everything was fine til yesterday, I cant log into my email(error saying The connection to the server failed) and Safri(error saying "Safari could not open the page becuase the server stopped responding"). I would get the errors right when I open the mail app or safari. I'm wondering if anyone had a similiar problem and maybe know a solution. Thanks.
