i have a iphone 3g jailbroken 3.1.2 using blackrain, my question is, my computer needs formatting therfore will lose itunes and will have to be put on again, will it automatically pick up my jailbroken iphone 3.1.2 or will i have to restore it again? thanks in advance.

Your phone will be fine, you won't have to restore.

Don't forget to De-Authorize your computer before you reformat it though.

Look up top under settings. Just deauthorize it and then after you reinstall iTunes authorize your pc again.

cheers mate, just really worried because everytime i open up itunes it reminds me that a 3.1.3 is available, and obvz i want to keep 3.1.2 on my itunes else il lose my jailbreak, so i should be ok yes?

Also be sure you have a copy of your iTunes library located in My Music. So then after you format you can copy it back. The phone will not update your OS from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 unless you tell it to so like big9erfan and an ump would say "You'rrrrrrrrrre safe"
