Unlocking iPhone 3G with 3.1.2 on Windows

Hi,

New to the forums, I tried looking through the forum to figure how to unlock my wife's iPhone 3G. Is there someplace I could look up to get all the update information. I tried to use redsn0w 0.9.2, but it asks for a ipsw file that I don't know where to find.

As you see, currently I don't know all the details.

Could somebody share out the instructions?

I have a 3g jail broke and unlocked, and has been fine for 6 months, but all of a sudden it is now saying no sim, do you have any ideas how to get it to accept my vodafone sim again, many thanks

What happened directly prior to that? Did you update the firmware?
