3.0 to 3.1.3 - RedSnow or SnowBreeze

Hey,

I have an iPhone 3G on 3.0 (JB) and want to upgrade the OS to 3.1.3. I want to know which is the best tool to Jailbreak. Are there any advantages/threats in using Snowbreeze or RedSnow. I don't have much importance in unlocking but need Jailbreak. Link to instructions on how to Jailbreak would be great

3.1.3 really isn't necessary and does not much to improve go to 3.1.2 if you can trust me then wait for 4.0

there is a new fuzzyband out so maybe it will work with that as far as unlock is concerned JB don't know

You can jailbreak 3.1.3 if you use a PwnageTool created IPSW, but there are strict guidelines on which devices will/will not work.

You CANNOT unlock though. Only jailbreak.

are you sure even with the new fuzzy band which is for 3.1.3

So far, everytihng I've read, there is NO JAIL BREAK for 3.1.3... There are NO NEW "Advantages" to upgrade. You "WILL" loose your ability to Jail Break your 3.1.3 iPhone. Rock as well as Cydia have written EXTENSIVELY on this subject. But who am I to comment. There are numerous "EXPERTS" that will lead one astray.

or you could try ih8sn0w's Twitter or blog or forums for sn0wbreeze's 3.1.3 jailbreak.

but you are right about one thing - the updates from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 are so minor that it's not even really worth upgrading.

The OP is at 3.0 so he may benefit more from the upgrade. I never had 3.0 so I'm not sure how different it was from 3.1.2. There is a jailbreak for 3.1.3 but you have to use it when you upgrade it won't work if you already upgraded, and it doesn't work for all devices.

Go to Cydia, in ur iPhone! It's all there on first page, I would wait till they say it's ok. If u mess it up u could lock ur iPhone for a long time, maybe forever. For what reason would you take this chance? Just wait!

Ultrasnow unlocks the baseband of any of them, dunno why you guys are even mentioning fuzzyband

Yes it will allow it. Thats only 3gs and 4's that do the ecid shsh and all that
