Jailbroke 3gs problems

Hello, this is my first post and I am having problems with my recently jailbroke 3gs. I have searched the site but could not find an answer so apologies if it was answered somewhere. I have jailbroke my phone twice already. No problems with blackra1n or installing cydia.

But everytime I try to intall a theme and anything else from cydia my phone reboots and wants me to connect to itunes and that screen on my phone stays that way. When I hook it back to itunes it gives me no other option but to restore which just puts it back to the factory settings. Does anyone know why it keeps doing this.
