Trouble with Blackrain

Having a lot of trouble installing blackrain. I had a blackrain icon on my phone at first and tried to install Cydia. I was connected to wifi and it said about 3 times that it was timed out or took too long. Then I tried to restore my phone on the itunes front page and an error occurred. I keep trying to install blackrain and it won't take. Can somebody help me with step by step on what to do. I thought this was suppose to be easy.

Alrite first off... what kind of iPhone? 2G, 3G, 3GS?
Then what firmware version are you running?
I suggest that your restore to factory settings thru iTunes.
Then re-jailbreak with Blackra1n. Should be no problem.
