tried to update my iphone 3GS and an error occured on my iphone ; i tried to restore and when i did it said that there was a problem with my iphone and that i needed to take it to an apple store or at&t store.

Can anyone help ? i would GLADLY appreciate it

ok i just put my phone into recovery mode and it was successful and its to the screen where the iphone has to be set up but it stays stuck there and itunes says there is a problem

It seems this is a new phone? if so why bother to set it up it may have problems so I would say take a screenshot of your message and take it in. If it's not a new phone do you have backups? have you synced successfully?

can you please clarify how did you fix your problem by recovery mode. I am facing the same problem and can not find any way to solve it.
