If I Re-Jailbreak, will I start from scratch?

I have a 3Gs and I have jailbroken 3.0... never updated via i-tunes and was still able to get MMS enabled. However, I'm still running 3.0... if I update to 3.1.2 and re-jailbreak will I have to re-download everything I have thus far from CYDIA? (aka- start all over)

You will have to re-do all your Cydia apps unless you can get one of the jb backup solutions to work.

I know a lot of people don't like rock app but the new rock backs up all your jailbroken apps and all you have to do is log back into the rock app once you rejailbreak and restore and it will reinstall all your jailbroken apps and if you restore your phone in iTunes and not set it up as a new phone all your jailbroken apps will have the same settings. Worked great on my wiifes phone

its alot fast then cydia but overall they are pretty much the same thing
