need help to save my iphone 3gs

Hi guys. i got my iphone 3gs a couple weeks ago. It was jailbreaked and unlocked already. i was using t-mobile. i was one of those dummies who updated to 3.1 accidentally on itunes on my iphone 3gs. My iphone was bricked. i tried to restore it to 3.0 but it stayed in 3.1 (i lost all of my apps +photos ) The good thing is i managed to save my ECID and i could still surf the net + use the basic functions but i cant use any apps or phone functions.

So...I've waited for a while hoping the dev-team comes up something. There's a couple websites stating that they can unlock my iphone for$$ but I decided to not take the risk. SO CAN ANYONE HELPP MEEE???

There is no jailbreak or unlock for the 3gs with 3.1FW. They are working on a JB but the unlock may be gone forever

i have a stupid question i've seen this floating around does anyone know if it works
Downgrade iPhone 3GS 3.1 to 3.0 (iPhone OS 3.1 to 3.0 Firmware)

is this what the OP tried and it failed?

From my understanding, you can downgrade the firmware but not the baseband. The baseband remains as the new one so you won't be able to unlock for different sim. In essence, you will be left with an iPod touch

This will only work if you saved you ecid with cydia when it was open
