iPhone 3GS on T-Mobile USA

Just curious im looking to get a unlocked iphone 3GS and use it on t-mobile usa network. Is it true that the 3G wouldn't work w/ the T-mobile 3G network. If that's true i would only get edge speed for the price of 3G speed? I see that its 24 bucks for Unlimited Data for T-mobile.

Yes you will only get edge no 3G for T-Mobile. And whatever plan you get its 3G only.

I recently got the 3gs with tmobile also just last week. However I didn't get the unlimited data plan but rather the smartphone plan from tmobile. I'm not sure if the data plan would work with your iPhone but a plus is that if you call tmobile will give you support on setting up your iPhone network if you give them a call. They even showed me how to set up my phone for MMS messaging! Ne I can send and receive picture and video messages!

i have the $24.99 plan and it works great!! I have no issues with it at all

do u have an mms icon on the home screen?? how do u send pix??

Are you jailbroken & unlocked on T-Mobile? If not you cannot get MMS.

I wouldn't do it. My brothers friend tried to and wasted his money. Plus, I dont think you can use their 3G? which makes the phone lose half of its functionality..
