Jailbreaking iPhone 3gs

I have a iPhone 3gs And am new to jailbreaking. Which program would you reccomend to jailbreak using a mac. I am running 3.0.1 so I cannot use some but I am willing to wait till the developers do make a new 1. So any program that runs on mac I will use or wait for. Suggestions which is best and easiest.

No its 3.0 but it will work to jailbreak 3.0.1.

You need to use the 3.0 firmware, redsn0w will not recognize 3.0.1 at this time as a valid firmware.

That is the same link and it works fine, for me.

yes i did 297.8mb

Download the file leave it how is it don't unzip and browse it from redsn0w I just downloaded that IPSW and browsed it in redsn0w and it worked.

that is what i did i didnt touch it it downloaded like that it was not an option to unzip
