ok i need help putting a theme on my phone once i ssh into it with cyberduck and navigate to private/var/stash/themes do i just copy and past the saved file from my imac or do i have to do something to the file. because i could not get it to work

Terminal ? i set up ssh with the use of cyberduck i can access all my files on phone i just cant get the theme to open up once i save the theme (think it is a rar file how do i get it to my phone what are the steps?

I think you'll need to extract the files from the .rar file and then SSH them over. You'll need to use Winterboard to display the theme.
