According to a new entry on the Dev-Team blog, the Corona A5 jailbreak tool is pretty much complete. At this point, it's just working out bugs.

It'll support the following firmwares -

- iPhone4S: 5.0 (9A334), 5.0.1 (9A405) and the ?other? 5.0.1 (9A406)

- iPad2: 5.0.1 (9A405)

If you're planning on jailbreak your iPhone 4S or iPad 2, you should update to iOS 5.0.1 BEFORE Apple releases another firmware and you are unable to downgrade. You may stay on iOS 5.0 if you'd like but if you for some reason would like to jailbreak on iOS 5.0.1 - I'd suggest upgrading now. If you are an unlocker, the dev-team is recommending you STAY on iOS 5.0 if you want an eventual software based unlock.

The Dev-Team and all the other members responsible for releasing this tool are accepting Paypal donations as a group. They are NOT charging for a jailbreak, as always. If you come across a site wanting to charge you for a jailbreak tool, it is a scam. Do not ever pay for a jailbreak tool.

You can read the full Dev-Team blog entry below.

You might want to reword on upgrading to 5.0.1....

If the JB supports 5.0 & both 5.0.1 releases, then iPhone 4S users don't have to upgrade to 5.0.1... just iPad 2 users.

If you read the post I linked to, for this jailbreak, they are accepting donations as a groups considering all the sources involved.
