Son of a *****, now I'm getting iTunes error code 1013, tried three times now with no luck..

And all I had to do once I modified the hosts file was to re-start iTunes...

So what is the best way to upgrade from 4.2.1 jb untethered, to 4.3.1 jb untethered, without losing any of my data?

Just registered to say thanks to ek9max, because I was having a rough time getting it to work. But then I followed his advice with xp compatibility mode and run as administrator, worked like a charm like he said!!! THANKS

What exactly is Pwnage Tool for Mac for? And do I need it if I decide to jailbreak on a Windows computer? I previously jailbroke with Greenpois0n on my Mac. But I may have messed something up because my Mac would refuse to restore ANY of my iDevices. So I was thinking it might be better to use a Windows machine rather than my Mac.

after i installed cydia i installed aptbackup and restored my cydia aps it wiped out all my aps from the i phone

I'm at 4.2.1 with greenpois0n untethered .. should I wait for GP to come out for 4.3.1 or use Redsn0W? Is there a reason not to go ahead with Redsn0W over top of GP?
