My ipad will not connect to itunes store

Have tried to connect to itunes to download an app and it will not connect. I am connected to wifi.

Welcome to iMore. Have you tried from the iTunes Store on your iPad. You can also try restarting your computer and trying again. Could be Apple servers are busy, so try later. You can also try restarting you iPad. Just some suggestions to try.
