Transferring content from Ipod to Computer

Hi I recently had to reset my computer operating system after a disastrous upgrade to Windows 10. I apparently had not backed up my music properly and ended up losing a tonne of music which was on cds I'd purchased a long time ago and no longer have. Is there are any genuinely free software that will enable me to transfer this content back from my ipod to my itunes? I've downloaded at least 2 that say they are free but as soon as I attempt to transfer the content it will only allow me to move 10 songs which means its not free at all. If not, can anyone suggest a good program at a reasonable price? Thanks
