What's the best way to manage podcasts on my iPhone?

There are numerous threads throughout the forum that debates which podcast app is considered the best in the opinion of our members. This thread is not about that. What I'd like to know is what do you consider is the best way to manage podcasts on your iPhone? Would it be best to manage them via iTunes, via the podcast app or another method? Personally, I manage mine via whatever podcast app I'm using at the time, but that works for me. What about you?

I just use the Apple podcast app and do it that way. It's a lot more simple for me.

I use a podcast app. I deal as little as possible with iTunes.

Personally, I use Downcast and like it way better than the Apple Podcast app. More features and an overall better interface and experience. I haven't used iTunes with my iPhones or iPads in forever
