Eject button on iTunes for apple devices.

Hey I'm curious about the eject button that shows up on iTunes when a apple device is connected Whats the purpose of it :$

Yes, but ejecting the device closes the connection and ends the connection gracefully... just yanking the cable out your computer works, but it’s a cleaner process to eject. Ejecting the device ensures that all data is safely written to the device and the communication is properly ended.
