Podcasts Sync

I'm hoping that someone can help me out here. When I heard about the ability of iTunes 11.1 to sync with podcasts app and Apple TV through icloud I was super excited. That excitement has worn off for the most part since I seem to be completely unable to make the feature work. Is there a way that I have to setup itunes in order for this to work? It only seems to work on a couple of my multiple podcasts and the others are nowhere to be seen. Any ideas or tips to make this function work would be very appreciated.

Others are reporting the exact same thing via the Apple's support site with no one mentioning a fix from what I briefly read.

this was fixed in itunes 11.1.1, released today. I had the same problem before updating.
