can't transfer music to iphone 5

When I try and drag drop tunes from itunes to the phone it doesn't let me.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I've searched it and everyone suggests to restore the phone to factory settings. I don't want to do this.

Is there any other way?

thanks,

jord

Re: can't transfer music to iphone 5

If your running iOS 7 and are not on a Mac you won't be able to. Not sure if that's your problem.

Please be patient while awaiting a response. You DO NOT need to create a second thread asking the same thing. Thanks.

i can sync computer but when i select that option it says that it will remove all music than sync from this computer.
personally i think that's kinda dumb.

I have music on 2 different computers with different libraries.

yes i should have it all on one.

Unless something has changed, you should be able to manually manage your music on your computer without deleting your music. You use to be able to create playlists and add the songs to it which would prevent the songs from being deleted when you synced. I rarely use iTunes except for backing up and restoring purposes so hopefully, someone else will chime in on this matter.

iOS devices can only sync with one iTunes library database.

(If someone else can expand on this that would be great)

Two possible solutions for you:

1. Sync your phone to your home computer. Yes, this will delete all the music now on it, but you can re download it to iTunes from the iTunes Store.
2. Upload your CD-ripped music to a third party carrier -- possibly Google Play Music -- and stream it using a third party app like gMusic.

Third possible solution, too, and this is Apple being Apple:

3. Pay Apple the $25 a year for iTunes Match. Get your music "matched", then download it to your device.

They'll give you what you want -- for a price. :)

In the end, is it work? And nowadays you can find many other ways to transfer music to iPhone5/6/6s/se and so on. You can google the FonePaw iOS Transfer or Wondershare which are popular file management tool.

Anyone who's had iTunes for a few years has probably run into this problem, especially those who have just upgrade iOS (for instance, upgrade to iOS 10/9.3/9). You can find 6 most reliable solutions to solve this annoying "can't add music to iphone" problem.

Huh? Just buy the music legally/digitally and you won't encounter to these.
