I can no longer transfer PDFs to my Ipad or Iphones in Itunes 11. At this point I have to convert them to epub before transfer. I would like to continue using PDF format but cannot get it to work. It worked perfectly before Itunes 11. Any ideas?

All you need is an app to read/view the .PDFs and it’s a simple task to get them on your iPhone or iPad.

1. Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes.
2. Go to the device in iTunes.
3. Click the APPS tab.
4. Scroll down to the FILE SHARING section of the APPS page.
5. Find the app that you are using to read/view the .PDF files.
6. In the right column (labeled AppName Documents), click the ADD button.
7. Now navigate to the .PDF file and click the OPEN button.
8. Repeat the add process until you have all of your docs added.
9. Sync your device.

It does not work if you just drug and drop your PDF files into iTunes? I mean, once in the books section, if you d and d a PDF into that section it automatically adds it into the PDF section (which can be found on the bar above the ePub books). From there you still cannot add them to your iBooks app? Unless if you do not want them there. Which is a different story.

The issue is that the "File Sharing" section on the Apps page no longer exists in iTunes 11.

Odd. I still have the File Sharing section on the Apps page for my devices.

I figured it out.

First, install Adobe Reader on your device.
Sync it with iTunes 11
Select the device from the devices menu in upper right corner of iTunes window.
Select the Apps tab
In the lower half of the window in the File Sharing section, find Adobe Reader in the Apps column and select it
In the Documents column to the right find the Add button at the bottom.
Select the pdf you want to add from your file system.
Click sync and it'll load on the device
Open Reader on the device and find the doc by clicking the Documents tab.

There is no file sharing section on the apps page. It is just a list of the apps.

It's at the bottom of the apps page when you have a device connected and you are on the devices' app page.
