Restore iOS6 Backup on iOS4

Hey Everyone,

Today I swapped my iPhone 4 [iOS6] with an iPhone 4 [iOS4]. It only has iOS4 SHSH so I can't update to iOS5 - If there is a way, please do tell!

My Question: How can I change the backup plist so I can restore my iOS6 Backup onto my iOS4?

If needed, I can attach the iOS6 Backup's plist so you can take a more detailed look?

why not just update to iOS 6 with iTunes and use a recent backup? maybe i'm confused

I do not like iOS6 at the moment and would like to either upgrade to iOS5 or keep iOS4

i see. SHSH blobs are device specific so there is no way to use the original devices SHSH footprint and apply it to another device

if i am reading your original post correctly. you can either stay on iOS 4 or go to iOS 6

Yes. But that is not the problem. The problem is that I can't restore my iOS6 backup on iOS4.

You are correct, you won't be able to restore an iOS 6 backup to iOS 4. If you do not want to upgrade to iOS 6, the only way you can get your data back is to extract them off the backup. iPhone Backup Extractor can certainly help you out, check out www.iphonebackupextractor.com
