Default associating new ipone 5 with itunes account

I noticed in my itunes account the devises listed are my iphone 4 and my pc. I synced itunes with my new iphone 5 yesterday and would like it to be listed and the iphone 4 removed before I sell it.

    How can I do this?

Sign into your iTunes account on your new iPhone. Register it, and it will show up in your list of devices.

Restore your iPhone 4 as new, and deregister it.

How do I register it on my new phone? Doesn't syncing with itunes do this automatically?

ok, I removed my old 4 from itunes and signed out on my phone and signed back in. it now registers as a 4s. At least the old 4 that I just sold is no longer registered.

Should I change my password too?

Can't hurt to change your password once a year anyway, but it's not necessary as far as selling the old phone goes.

I just checked to see what my iPhone 5 registered in iTunes and it says iPhone 4S. I wonder if it is an iTunes problem with it not able to register it by it right name. I guess they need to update itunes again.
