Why does itunes never close?

I have no apple products hooked up to my computer at the moment. I click on the X, top right of Itunes on my windows 7 machine. It closes, then opens back up full screen. Only way to close the app is to ctrl alt delete, end process.


Why is this? Using latest x64 version. Any ideas?

What happens if you use the Quit menu command?

Choosing File/Exit, closes the screen, then it pops open full screen again.

Wireless sync is not checked in itunes.
