Itunes Update Failing?

Just got super lucky after the Christiana, De apple store ran out of phones and scored one at a Radio Shack I stopped at on a whim on my way home. Anyways after the gentleman at the store set it up, I returned home to restore it to a back up of my last phone and now my download for the iOs 4 update for the iPhone 4 keeps failing... has anyone experienced anything like this?

It shouldn't be updating your phone to iOS4. It's preinstalled. It should've just been a matter of registering it as a new phone and pressing restore from backup. As I said, it shouldn't be trying to download a new image.

Did you actually click on restore when you plugged it in?

similar problem with me. When i restored from back up everything but my apps were on my iphone 4. i restored it factory settings again. What should i do to get my apps back.

its a 3g with ios4
