Changing iTunes Sync Account for iPad

My husband and I bought an iPad on Tuesday. My husband synced to his iTunes account, but we now want to sync to my account instead. What do we need to do? No email or contacts were synced, just mostly apps which are common to both of us. Do I just plug into my laptop and sync? Or do I need to wipe clean it first.

PS- we love it but it already is a major time drain.

Just do it

Sorry I didn't catch this yet, just plug it in to your laptop and sync it. In theory you can only sync iDevices with one machine so it will tell you that it was synced with another library and if you sync it will wipe everything out and replace it with your library which is what you want. You can sync with more than one machine if you're interested search for multiple itunes that should get you all the threads.
