3.1.2 hosed iTunes

Ok so I'm as confused as can be here, I've never had problems with iTunes, I updated to 3.1.2 this morning and ever since ITunes is totally un-responsive. It opens up fine, detects my phone, but when I attempt to sync my apps back it freezes up, I guess they removed the coma mode from the phone and put it into iTunes???

Any ideas here?

Try re-installing iTunes.
