Which PIM's does iTunes sync with?

In addition to Exchange Activesync with my work, I am hoping to sync with a PIM on my PC. Outlook is too expensive to buy for home use.

Which other PIMs does iTunes support syncing with? Any suggestions on a cheap but functional PIM? Pimlical from C. E. Steuart Dewar would be the dream desktop application, but I doubt that Apple will support syncing with that!!

even if you had outlook, you can't sync PIM data with the desktop and activesync at the same time.

My understanding is that tthis has changes in OS3. I could be wrong ...

I tested this.

Outlook works fine now, windows address book sync is screwed up.

it also doesn't handle moving between sources well. I undid local sync, synced the phone and the contacts were still there. I couldn't remove them unless I synced a new source to replace them.
