iPod touch 4 pink lines on screen

I just replaced the screen on an iPod touch 4 that I bought off eBay. The screen was working before I replaced it, and it worked after I replaced it but before I put the new adhesive down. Now half the screen is pink lines and the other part is negative. Any ideas?

Are you sure the cable is in straight? I have that happen on an Android phone and when I re-seated the cable it fixed it.

Yep, when I replaced the screen on my 4 I dropped it a few times in the months after and got these lines. I opened it and made the sure the cable was properly seated and it fixed the issue
