Passcode lockout

I forgot my passcode for my iPod touch now my IPod touch is disabled how do I reset my passcode or get my old passcode to unlock it

You can't. You have to reset the phone itself.

Meaning wipe it and start from scratch, not just reboot.

If you have a backup, you can restore from that backup after setting it up as new... no passcode will be set, but you get all your stuff back.

I dont know what happened but last time this happened to meand it got disabled for an hour so after an hour i turned it of left it of for a while then turned back on and tried my old passcode. It worked I dont know how but it worked

I think I might need some help too, my iPod touch won't let me get apps unless I fill in my apple iD pass but I don't know it I made a new one but it won't use it what should I do?

If you changed it, it's supposed to take the new one, but if it won't take either or you just don't remember you can go to apple site or -->
And follow the steps to reset your password. They are going to send you a reset email, you just follow the instructions.

Why do I always have the worst thoughts when I see threads like this. Like we are telling a thief how to use a freshly stolen device. Maybe all the years in retail has soured me on humanity.
